How It Works
NarroHire is a hiring portal for churches. Post your own “Apply Here” link anywhere you already recruit: your website, ChurchStaffing.com, MinistryJobs.com, social media. Candidates click it, and their resume, qualifiers, and screening questions all happen right there, inside NarroHire.
This page walks through the process from the church's side, since your team is the one running it. If you're the one applying, Open Opportunities shows what's live right now, and Build Your Portfolio is where to start.
- 1
Open a search ($99, 60-day window)
You describe your church and the role once, in your Church Profile. NarroHire uses that same profile to draft your job description, your qualifiers, and your written screening questions. Keep any of it, rewrite it, or start from a blank page. Nothing reaches a candidate until you approve it.

- 2
Candidates apply in two stages
A candidate starts with their resume, a few qualifying questions, and a short snapshot of their ministry experience. Real screening questions that you draft or approve come second, answered right in the browser or through an emailed link, whichever's easier for them.
- 3
Advance candidates to video ($6 per invitation)
When your committee wants to hear how someone actually talks about their calling, not just read about it, invite them to record video responses on their own time. It's a deliberate step for the candidates you're already serious about, not something every applicant gets automatically.
- 4
Review with AI-generated summaries
NarroHire transcribes every response and writes a summary that always cites the exact answer it came from, flagging anything worth a second look. Nothing here scores a candidate or tells your committee who to hire. That stays with you.

- 5
Check references, on your timeline
Reference requests go out and come back without you coordinating a single phone call. Every response stays on file and exports as a per-candidate PDF whenever you need it.
- 6
Extend or close
A search runs 60 days. If you need more time, extend it for $49. When you're ready to close it, whether you filled the role or the window ran out, everything you collected stays exactly where it is.
Additional Features
- Role templates. Job description starting points for the most common ministry roles, so you're editing, not staring at a blank page.
- Compensation benchmarking. A real reference by role and region, so your range isn't a guess.
- A nudge toward salary transparency. NarroHire flags when disclosing your range is likely to bring in more qualified applicants, and explains why. You still decide.
- A guardrail on what you can legally ask. Before your questions go live, NarroHire flags categories your church shouldn't ask about, regardless of the religious exemption.
- Help writing the no. Declining a candidate isn't fun. NarroHire drafts a starting message; you approve or rewrite it before it sends.
- NarroHire University. Real guides for every part of the platform, for you and for your search committee.
